Planet Eater World Tour
PosterSpy - Face The Music challenge    

 

The alternative poster site, PosterSpy, were running a challenge called Face The Music where they challenged artists to create a poster for an artist on Spotify with less than 10million monthly listeners.

I'm a big fan of synthwave music and so decided to do a tour poster for Aeronexus - imagining what their world tour would be called and finding a style that fit with their music. They have a song called Planet Eater and so I wanted to draw some ideas on the concept of a planet eating monster.

The music feels like something from a video game and, as an artist, Aeronexus is heavily inspired by 80s cartoons and anime so I felt it fitting to bring that aesthetic into this piece.

I wanted something with impact that would immediately grab attention at both small and large scale and think this monster definitely does the trick!
